The much anticipated album of newly completed recordings from Michael Jackson entitled MICHAEL will be released on December 14 by Epic Records in conjunction with the Estate of Michael Jackson. Very interesting, yet very bittersweet. A must buy for the upcoming holiday season.

Grace Jones Steals The Show At London's Lovebox Festival

At 61 years old, Grace Jones worked over the stage at London's Lovebox festival with the youthfulness of a performer half her age. As the closing act and grand finale, Jones wooed the sold-out audience with her standard hits and newer songs off 2008's critically acclaimed-comeback CD "Hurricane," with style, rhythm, and sheer dominance. Later 2010 or early 2011, Jones will release a autobiographical documentary on her life over the past five years. With the working title: "Grace Jones: My Life As A Musical," the life and times of Jones, who emerged on the scene in the mid-1970's as a model turned disco star/muse into 1980's cultural icon, this should be quite entertaining and quite the must see film of the upcoming season. Stay tuned.

"Larry King Live" to End in the Fall

After 25 years from its debut on CNN, veteran journalist, Larry King, will end his highly rated and successful show in Fall 2010. The centerpiece of CNN's prime-time lineup and a required stamping ground for striving politicians and contrite celebrities will say farewell to his audience to make time for family and enjoy the fruits of his success. In addition, ratings for "Larry King Live" have faltered recently. King has logged more than 40,000 sit-downs with news makers since his first radio show 53 years ago, according to CNN. CNN/U.S. President Jon Klein said that "this isn't just a big moment for CNN, it's a big moment for cable television. He created the habit of tuning into cable at night," Klein said in an interview. "He made it OK to watch cable. It is a big historic inflection point." King will remain with CNN, to host special programming and exclusive interviews.

The Comeback Kid?

At this year's 2010 BET Awards, held in Los Angeles, the stage was filled with surprise performances and comebacks. El Debarge, who was known with his sibilings in the 80's for the family musical group Debarge for such hits as "All This Love", "Rhythm of the Night," and "I Like," took the stage in one of the evening's most surprising performance. Giving the audience [for the over-thirty crowd] some much need nostaglia in a time when hip-hop and flash in the pans seem to be all the rage now. However, one performer who stole Sunday's award show was Chris Brown. Paying homage to his idol, the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, Brown wooed the audience with an accurate and precise performance of "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Remember the Time," "Billie Jean," and"Smooth Criminal," that would make Michael proud. However, Brown's performance of Jackson's poignant iconic number "Man in the Mirror" brought Brown to his knees and unable to perform the reminder of the song due to the off guard onslaught of emotion and tears. It has been a year since Michael passed and over a year since Brown and his ex-girlfriend Rihanna public relations disaster unfolded. My thoughts: Brown had to look at the "Man In the Mirror" and hope the road to redemption was still clear to take a walk on.
